10 autumn DIY ideas with links to tutorials
Here’s a selection of DIY autumn decorations. I’ve deliberately chosen creations that are easy enough for me to make, so you can too. The aim is to make maximum use of the resources that nature offers us in autumn, but also of materials that we like to handle in autumn, such as wool.
Feel free to click on the links below the photos. Most designers detail their manufacturing methods.
1 – A herbarium of dried leaves
The easiest of all autumn creations, as long as you’ve got colorful leaves nearby. In the composition below, there are also green leaves. It’s important to know that they probably won’t stay that way. But that’s not a big deal, since autumn herbariums can easily be redone every year.
2 – Autumn wreaths
The easiest wreath is certainly this one, with hydrangea flowers.
I used a vine wreath that I made myself from the prunings of my vines. Then all you have to do is put hydrangea flowers on it. It’s very pretty in photos and in German or Anglo-Saxon culture, but I think it looks a bit like a funeral wreath.
